Tips For YAM Teachers and/or Facilitators!

To my fellow young adult Teachers- It is a joy for me to share with others, what I have learned about teaching your adult’s, that’s not in the book.  I will share in a very short summary – what will help you in being a more effective Teacher: Be prepared- let everything you teach-be under girded with fervent prayer. Know your students-(a must)– Personalities, Abilities, Reading Skills, etc… Start the class in a relaxed atmosphere- let students fellowship with each other Let students express what’s on their minds; do not use the entire class with your points; you are still the Leader of the class, but class participation is key. Have a time for student to give Praise reports, also ask for prayer requests. Do not use the verse-by-verse method in teaching your class- ( very boring to young adults.) use the outline method.
